Huntsville Committee of 100 - Campaign Endorsement

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to say that I am certainly honored to have the endorsement of the Huntsville Committee of 100 and the businesses they represent, I am also thrilled to have the Huntsville Fire Fighters Association Local 1833 in my camp. Both of these groups represent the best of Huntsville and I am proud to have their support.

Thank you for all your support,

John O.

Neighborhoods are First in my Book

Residents, family, friends—Whew, what a couple of weeks this has been. Although the weather has not gotten cooler, I am really enjoying the process of going door-to-door and meeting my fellow community members.

The one common thread I have learned is that each neighborhood is proud of where they live and extremely concerned about the erosion of their home investment and quality of life. I am confident that with my background I can get us pointed back in the right direction.

During the past few weeks I have had the opportunity to get advice from many of you that have attended the women meetings, coffees, and civic associations, I thank each of you for your words of wisdom and friendship extended. Keep spreading the word that this is one campaign where “Neighborhoods are 1st”.

Thanks--John

Saturday, July 24th Campaign Neighborhood Walk

Hey Olshefski Volunteers,

We will be meeting this Saturday, 24 July, 10am-1pm at Haysland Square parking lot (near Staples). If you can make it, bring your walking shoes! We covered several hundred homes last Saturday because of the incredible turnout! Thank you!

If the heat is too much for anyone, we also need a couple of volunteers to man the mobile HQ (it's air conditioned!) and/or deliver water if necessary.

Many, many thanks!

"Thank you" Chaffee community

“I wish to thank the Chaffee community for their warm welcome yesterday evening at their civic association meeting and candidate forum. It was great to see so many residents dedicated to making the Chaffee area and south Huntsville a better place to live. I hope to have time to visit many of my new friends in the weeks to come as we continue to go door to door.”

Chaffee Area Civic Association Forum

Hello Olshefski volunteers,

Please join me tonight at the Chaffee Area Civic Association Forum, 6:30pm, Community Baptist Church on Logan (behind Kroger's). We need as many supporters as possible to show!

Please check voteolshefski.com for my complete itinerary.

Vote Olshefski Saturday Volunteers

I just wanted to say "Thank-you" volunteers for a very successful Saturday of door-to-door campaigning. I had a great time meeting and talking with the residents of English Village and Chaffee area. Our mobile campaign HQ was a hit, giving our campaign the unique advantage of sharing our message across the district.

Let's keep moving forward.

John

Casa Blanca Meet and Greet Luncheon

“All just a short note to thank friends, family, and District 3 residents who joined me for lunch today at Casa Blanca in South Huntsville. I enjoyed both the food and conversation. Please help pass the word that this Thursday lunch event is something that I will continue throughout the campaign in order to give folks an opportunity to share their advice, suggestions, and concerns about our city and community. As always a special thanks to my best campaigner, my wife Sharon.”

Ready for the Campaign Race

Just a short thank-you to all my friends, neighbors, and District 3 residents who joined me last week’s fund raiser and meet and greet. I enjoyed talking to each of you and look forward to seeing you along the campaign trail.

Well, I am now an official candidate and I must say it is a humbling experience. Having served my nation for so many years protecting our liberties and constitution, to now have the opportunity to serve my community, friends, and family is a great experience.

The coming weeks will see the sprouting of yard signs and the familiar sight of campaigners making their way in neighborhoods. Regardless of who you support, I hope you take the time to listen and participate in this great elective process. Our district truly is at a crossroads and I believe the solution is in focused leadership and communication/openness with the residents on a wide variety of issues that affect our quality of life. Thank-you for the support thus far and your prayers.
